Overview

The product

The Hell Armory turns a large amount of scattered mod data into a searchable, structured database. It is a fan-made web project for The Hell modifications of the original Diablo I. Four separate archives keep TH1, TH2, TH3 and TH4 data in the correct game version.

Players can search base and unique items, sets, affixes, creatures and dungeons, then narrow large result sets with detailed filters. Item pages show requirements, prices, class availability and effects. Bestiary profiles organise combat values, resistances, immunities and locations. TH1 remains a partial legacy archive, TH2 and TH3 are fully imported, and TH4 can be updated as its source guide develops.

TH1–TH4 use one interface, while records, routes, reports and assets stay tied to the correct mod generation.

Search and advanced filters

Large data sets can be filtered by category, level, price, class, effects, difficulty, resistances, immunities and more.

Repeatable imports

Dedicated parsers process old HTML and newer guide formats, match assets and report unresolved fields.

Readable game data

Item details, set bonuses, creature profiles and dungeon links remain clear across desktop and mobile.

The challenge

The source material comes from several mod generations with different formats and incomplete or unclear values. The import pipeline has to make that data consistent and searchable without inventing missing information. When a value is uncertain, the source value and warning are kept for review.

Current status

TH2 and TH3 are fully imported and available. TH1 remains a partial archive because its older source omits some sections. TH4 contains useful imported data but stays marked in development while its source guide changes.
